Deneb Suggestion
As we know, Deneb is a war zone (not really if you consider how NO ONE does it anymore). However, this suggestion might change all of that.
Lets say the Serco have more victories than the smurfs at the end of the week. The skirms in Deneb should then be moved to Eo and the battle for Eo commences. The smurfs can push the Serco back into Deneb if they have more victories at the end of the week than Serco. However, if Serco win, everything is reset and the battles return to Deneb.
Now lets say the smurfs have more victories than Serco at the end of the week. The skirms in Deneb should then be moved into Geria Retulis and the battles commence there. If the Serco have more victories than the smurfs at the end, the battles are moved back into Deneb. If the smurfs win, everything is reset and the skirms move back to Deneb.
Also, make Deneb a grayspace system, it might simplify things. Make it blue if the smurfs have more victories at the end of a week. Make it red if the Serco have more victories than the smurfs at the end of the week.
If the smurfs are able to push the Serco back to Geria, make Geria Retulis show up as a grayspace system on the map. If the Serco push the smurfs back to Eo, make Eo show up as a grayspace system on the map.
Question about the stations? I have that covered too.
If smurfs push back into Geria, make the WH station in Geria an Itani station. All resets at the end of week 3, regardless whether smurfs win or Serco win.
If Serco push back the smurfs to Eo, make the WH station in Deneb a Serco station and the WH station in Eo to become a Serco station as well. All resets at the end of week 3 regardless of who wins.

Thoughts? If we get enough ppl to reply, I might start a petition.

This has been requested in various forms. It is still a good idea, though my impression is that a number of people in the current player base would rather turn Grey space into the contested territories.
I don't spend time rummaging through old threads...lol
a very cool idea but seems totally beyond the achievable scope of things done in VO since I've been here
+1 to "Moving Borders" as result of battles!
A good starting point is start using the fewer critical points: Stations and WH sectors. i.e., To conquer a System, a nation must conquer all its stations and WH sectors.
Then make periodic/weekly events for battle over its ownership.
1. As a initial TESTBED, make only the central 3 stations conquerable, to keep war restricted to Deneb. Then to balance out things, give Serco a beachhead station in nearest Deneb's WH.
2. Add some dynamic requirements to conquer a number of nearby sectors to be able to attack stations, to integrate more space into war progress. Similar to the requirement of killing Critical Queens before successfully attack a Levi. Relate it to "Supporting Fleet", and provide a response fleet for unplanned attacks, a sort of Fleet-level Strike Force.
3. SOONtm after, gameplay dynamics improved, make WH stations conquerable also, and the respective neighboring systems also conquerable.
Not that hard to implement. Just have to make the inner stations in Deneb Conquerable now, what already exists in-game, and later relate it to supporting fleet/sectors battles, and even later allow real conquering of space/systems!
