I do not think your suggestion is likely to correct the problem you are seeking to correct. In fact, I am not sure there is a mechanism that will, but regardless, I suggest you focus on the desired end objective, and let the devs worry about the specifics.

In attempt to summarize what I perceive to be your desired objective:
..Enforce one trial period per person.

Personally, I was leaning the other way, suggesting in another thread that everyone be allowed unlimited characters with a limit of 8 hours play time per unsubscribed character.

If they wanted to eliminate multiple trial accounts, they could have the installer place a file somewhere in the filesystem and deny a trial membership if the file is over x days old. Could it be bypassed....yes, the fact that they haven't leads me to believe that they don't consider multiple trial accounts to be a pressing issue.

There's no way to limit trial accounts without seriously hindering the game. I have two accounts; Lisa201, and Lisa202. Both on gmail.com. Free E-mail.

I PAY for both accounts, and YES I did give myself a free friend key. Nothing wrong with that.

Those that abuse the trial accounts will always do so. VO players are identified by e-mail, and there's no limit on ways to setup new e-mail accounts.

-1. This suggestion is petty, overly burdensome to newbies, and otherwise retarded. There are many very good reasons to use multiple free email accounts for things like game trials.

Doesn't solve a thing. What if someone cannot access or does not have the money for an ISP non free email.
Use your brain.
We don't need less players.

Some countries have a choice of isp, not just one provider in that area or no internet for you. My isp has email, have not looked at it in years. Oh they dont send me mail via it either.

I have other email and if anybody asked me for an isp email account then i'd certainly think about doing something else.
