Surplus in CtC
Was watching 100 today, realised this made no sense.
Why does only one nation get surplus, but the winner doesn't?
This does not encourage a constant effort to be put in, this actually is counterproductive.
You reward the nation that lost. Why?
Surplus is 20% of the previous week's total captures for each nation (including the previous week's surplus).
Key word there was EACH.
Yeah, fix it.

Brought to you by the creators of "convoy doubling is stupid", I'm personally so sick of Itan bashing things they don't even understand. So here's the breakdown for yo' ass:
The surplus mechanic is obviously intended to balance a lack of player activity or a loss on one side. Losers get a leg up so they have more of a chance to win next week. It doesn't reward the team that loses, the team that loses is unable to access NB3's, which this mechanic is assuming are important enough to the game to warrant giving the losers an advantage to win it next week. The idea being that with the help of the surplus mechanic the NB3's will be won by a different side every week all else being equal.
It has to be from each nation otherwise it's meaningless, if it was just from your nation and you were denied every single convoy and lost terribly then you would recieve no bonus, which defeats the purpose of having it as a balancing mechanic.

Something strange is going on here. TRS and I are agreeing again.
MAKE IT STOP!!
MAKE IT STOP!!
It's not a matter of opinion so much as the only logical explanation.
Then the text needs to be changed
Why? The text is 100% accurate. Those are the rules of the game. Did you run out of other things to complain about today or something? I'm sure if you look hard you'll find some.

Had me going there for a second.

I do not have much invested in this issue, because I do not do ctc or buy n3. But here is my 2 cents.
The current system is designed to make it difficult to lock out the other side for multiple weeks on end. It isn't perfect, I do not like the system, but I would not like being locked out of n3 indefinitely. I would change the system, but it would probably still have a surplus or some other way to handicap the previous winner.

Are these N3 so important in order to balance the Itani/Serco conflict? Something like the Avalons are?
If not, get rid of surplus from the CtC numbers.
Anyway, it can't be that difficult to smuggle them from a nation to another. It would be a very profitable item, for player-player direct trade.

Its not about the neut3's. It's about some of the only conflict-driving content we have in the game. CtC brings players together to fight over cargo with a defined objective.
