"Loading..." indicator for mission list.
The new mission code thankfully doesn't tie up the game client anymore but sometimes (especially on a slow or mobile connection) it's hard to tell whether or not it's done slurping down the list of missions.
It might be a good idea to add a little spinny thing or more immersion-styled "Connecting to comm network..." message to indicate that it's still receiving stuff from the server.

Hooray for spinny things!
Some kind of indicator is a good idea. Although data will still be coming in even after any given client is synchronized, if they're online for long enough to see a new mission get posted. So, the indicator should probably not be anything too intrusive or "modal". But maybe just a spinning indicator somewhere.
Take one mission slot and put a progress bar there?
Nope. Spinny thing!
Where have you spent the last decade PaKettle, the mighty Kingdom of Reason (which decided to move to a different dimension)?
Seriously, VO needs spinny thingies, and the marketing people who make contracts for GS love them!
