ECM (Electronic Counter Measures)
Instead of attempting to outrun some tracking missiles, one should be able to pop something (called "Flares" in real life, not VO life) that makes the missiles come toward the object that is distracting them and then to explode safely next to the object, destroying the object with it. This would prove useful in Deneb because then a bomber trying to attack a doesn't have to go all over the place to avoid swarms coming from capital ships and enemy Ragnoraks. It can be a small addon costing from 4000c to 7000c (depending on standing) and should require a standing of 800+ points from the nation you are purchasing.
Stats:
Addon: small
Requirements: 800+ standing with the nation you are buying from
Licenses Requirements: 5/3/6/2/0
Ammo: 3 (refillable at stations and capital ships)
Weight: 100kg

Swarms coming from the Tridents are pretty impotent to be honest. I know it can be frustrating having to deal with the rogue npc rag, but this is only a problem if your in a light fighter. If your in a rag yourself, you are likely making bombing runs and are not in any real danger from missiles unless a skilled player is in the sector with you. So basically for something that a little more practice would resolve, your sacrificing a useful large port and weighing your ship down substantially.
What I would suggest instead would be a decoy that could be dropped from cargo (my preference) or treated like a mine that would cause any player, npc or missile targeting you to switch over to target the decoy. I think this would be far more helpful in Deneb against those pesky valks. But that's another thread and not one I'm going to create.

Easiest fix, destructible/explosive cargo.

Large? 4000kg? Really?
If anything a flare/chaff launcher should be a small light s-port addon with a low grid power. Something you can tack on along side a widowmaker, or sacrifice some firepower on a bigger ship.
+1 to missile countermeasures - This would also be a good way to make station turret missiles less "cheap" without nerfing them too much.

Maybe is should lower it to 2000 kg or 1000 kg if you want.
Even 1000kg is too heavy for something that does *no damage at all*
for 1000kg I can strap on another Sunflare launcher.
Try 100kg.

Hmm, if it's a small addon, 100kg is a reasonable weight.
+1, so long as it stays at no more than 3 ammo. Give missiles a small chance (20%) to ignore the decoy and continue to track the ship, meaning swarms may not all chase it. Oh, and give it to Xang Xi. They don't have anything of value, seeing as their storm radars are outmatched by Ineubis and they have no ship. Perhaps they could be addon specialists, it sorta fits with their advanced robotics background.
Xang Xi? Their storm radars are the only ones worth putting on a fighter. The ones Ineubis sells weigh 2/3 as much as a Valk does.
Completely disagree with ammo capacity of 3, make it five bare minimum... after all we are talkin bout a system that deals no damage.
If it's any more than 5, im going to have to add a certain range to it and/or make it only decoy missiles tracking YOU and not anything else.
