For the non fighters who want to move a little quicker / less recharge to get into a worm hole...

PROS:
Makes traveling from point A-B much faster (can use faster ships like centurion with infiniturbo and less wormhole recharge for other ships)

CONS:
Heavier, low capacity, low grid power (no widow or guass 3), requires high trade.
Would require a series of trade missions to unlock.

I'm all for new power cells, we do need to revisit this kind of suggestion for Content improvements.

The problem with this is we need to have a new type of exclusion.
So some power cells cannot be equipped on certain ships, to prevent abuse with this.
e.g. you could just infiniturbo a prom through wormholes with this, which is crazy because it's like a shit fast tank.

That's something I would like to see before anything else.
With variety comes need to restrict the availability of combinations.

Fair enough. May be the prom just needs to be Nerfed... I mean... who uses them anyways? Do it.. no one would mind....

Drop the grid to 3. If you want the ultimate chicken-out powercell, you'd better have a good reason to run: No weapons.

There's a lot of ships with only a 50/sec drain which means they'd be able to infiniturbo AND shoot. A capability that only the Corvus Greyhound has right now.

Nah the solution is to have powercells specific to the ship. It's been suggested and discussed at length but we still don't have it.

I can't support this suggestion for all ships, but I could if it was an option for certain ships and not others.

+1 different cells for different ships, trade/miner cells, fighter cells and different ways to get them

different powercells of different sizes so a certain cell will only fit on certain ships
