Idea for making getting around easier

For me and a lot of other people, getting from A to B in this game is a pain in the ass. It's probably one of the most boring parts of this game. So here's an idea to fix that:

EC-108LX Wormhole Runner
Cost: 100k
Armor: 4000
Weapons: None
Cargo: 2cu
(rest same as EC-89)

The craft would be equipped with a built-in "Multi-Wormhole Tunneling Drive" allowing it to jump through up to five(?) wormholes at once. This drive would require the use of a heavy cell and take up to 30 seconds to charge. This charging must be initiated in the wormhole sector you wish to begin at (still leaving it open to pirating). Any ion storms would stop it dead in its tracks. Border systems (Jallik, Nyrius, Azek, etc.) cannot be bypassed (for example, if your route is Pelatus to Divinia, you would be stopped at Jallik E15 and forced proceed to C2 to recharge and start again, as a deterrent to pirates and smelly toasters trying to slip past the border defenses).

Noooo, too complicated. We need multiple home points which will achieve roughly the same thing, but perhaps limit them to 1 in your home space, 1 in greyspace and 1 free choice or something like that.

In your route to Divinia example, it should stop them at Edras I-2, not Jallik. That way blockaders could still do their thing. Otherwise you could tunnel right past the war blockades, border conflicts, pirate chokepoints, and other fun.

It would also be more likable if there were also a corresponding "Jump Disruptor" item that worked like an ion storm, pulling people out of jump. So that you could be prevented from tunneling past a chokehold like Sedina B-8.

I do prefer something more like this than a multiple-home solution, but not enough to +1 it.

Interesting idea. Either love ... or hate it.
I think TRS is on the right track.
This would change the game dynamics a lot though.

Right now people "set Home" some place...travel to destination then grab an EC89(88) and /explode to get back. This shouldn't have to be the way of things (having to commit suicide), but it shows the current issues with the way things are.

I would add to TRS's idea by allowing one to 'teleport', tunnel, (whatever) to one of those other 'homes' you have set. And limit how many/area's you can have (every 3/4 wormholes to prevent abuse). Must have high faction at destination, etc.
If at all possible set it so itani/serco 'homes' cant teleport to each other.. would have to go through uit or grey space.

If this Device were to exist, then it would have to be sustainable, by two other players, one at the start point, and one at the destination. It would still be bounded by the same rules, just making it less overpowered.
