Temp KOS revokes rights.

Shooting temp KOS players, Hated, and normal KOS should not result in a temp KOS for the player shooting him.

As a matter of fact, the station should reward kills for temp KOS, and normal Hated and KOS players.

Wrong, it's a no fire zone, meaning you are not allowed to fire.

No fire zone means no firing. You aint a cop.

Vigilantism sounds cool, until somebody gets hurt.

Step 1: Enter NFZ and shoot around (but not at!) a newbie
Step 2: Newbie shoots you, thinking he's in the right. Newbie violates NFZ.
Step 3: Kill newbie with 0 repercussions (and lots of rewards?)

My way of saying -1. ;)

slime, that's the way newbies learn. Why are the SF's allowed to fire on the person (and inside the NFZ) but not us?
Hmm
Let me rephrase.
All players that are over Combat 6 (assuming reasonable knowledge of the game) who are inflicting temp KOS on themselves should be allowed to be shot and killed. The point of KOS is Kill On Sight, no matter the zone. Which takes precedence?

ARF ran the border to serco space chasing our ctc. He goes past Initros o12 and takes 2 flares to the atlas. I'm temp KOS in my prom.

I still chase ARF past the turrets (shooting at me AND him now) into pyronis to watch him die, drop the xith, remove my temp KOS and return to cash it in proving two things:

1. Proms are awesome.
2. This suggestion is redundant.

"Why are the SF's allowed to fire on the person (and inside the NFZ) but not us?"

First of all, the way you worded that implies that you aren't allowed to fire on the person at all, which is false. There is no penalty for killing somebody who is tmp-kos as long as you do it outside the NFZ. But you probably already know this and just worded it poorly.

Secondly, the SF and guards are official station personnel. You are not. Duh.

"The point of KOS is Kill On Sight, no matter the zone. Which takes precedence?"

Station safety, obviously. Just because you're after somebody who is KOS doesn't mean you're authorized to endanger innocents. The guards are (in theory) specially trained and authorized to defend stations at close range. The player is not.

This would all make more sense gameplay-wise if stations could actually take damage and if the guards and sf were actually trained to avoid hitting the station etc.

Violating the NFZ is still against the "law" even though your victim is wanted dead by that station.
