Roids and crashing
It seems to me to be rather stupid that you can crash into a roid at ludicruspeed(TM)
and not die ...I am a miner so It is nice for me but surely if you hit a roid at more than x youshould die

It's a bit of a tradeoff for the collision meshes not being perfect. We used to have the "wing bug" that would cause a wild and fatal loss of control if the Vulture's wing touched an object.
Aside from that, the game isn't intended to be strictly faithful space flight simulator. There have been some decisions made in the interest of fun and playability.

As an example of the above, higher damage from collisions would make racing significantly more difficult, and hardly anyone races anyway.
lol, i'm totally cool with tube racing being nerfed. On the other hand, you do explode if you high speed collision with a roid and are on low hp. I guess it could be modified, but it's not that bad atm
Had a XC full of AGT and crashed into a roid coming out of jump and did go BOOM, so it does happen :(
Hit a roid at 220m/s with a Hornet Mk2 and see what happens.
