Ok. back in the day, a limit was placed on the number of stuffs you could buy. This was put in place so people couldn't buy <really big number> engines and stuff, as some people did. However, now we can buy and make use of <really big number> engines. Also, this would be great cause we can also stockpile cargo easier, without clicking <really big number> times.

so kill that ****ing limit please!!

yeah... we can have a toggle option in stastion "allow buying of more than 16 units" that is off by default (for newbies).
