One more thing I noticed because of this 0 players assisted player topic
It appears that you may or may not get credit for taking a missions if you leave the mission before it's over.
For example:
You take the missions and get some kills if you abort, or get booted for killing your own then it would seem that only randomly get credit for the win/loss.
If you lose I assume this would be an NPC win since no other players took the mission. However, from the stats. you can click around all the wins/losses there and cannot find that you were there at all.
I experimented with this a few time now taking all the missions going to the sector and getting some kills then aborting and moving to the next mission
How is this suppose to work exactly ?

I couldn't make sense of a lot of what you said, Captain86, but anything a player does as part of a BS mission should be recorded regardless of whether they aborted or were kicked out. If you can provide a specific example of that not being the case (character, sector, skirmish-type and date/time), I'll look into it.
I have noticed discrepancies in regards to how casualty assists are tallied:
--Sometimes I will receive casualty assists for cappies when not in sector (yet still in mission), and sometimes I don't (despite having previously registered hits on the de-shielded capship).
--Sometimes I will receive casualty assists for cappies when not in sector and not in mission (i.e. booted for FF right before a cappie is blown up that I have been shooting at), and sometimes I will not.
--Sometimes, and this less frequent than the above, I won't get casualty assists for a cappie that I have quite clearly administered damage to when I am in sector and in mission. This will only happen if another player is on my team and involved in assault on the same capship.

I'll get an example
At the time of the post it was showing on the Deneb stats page that there was a serco win with a number (0) player participation in that column and when you click on that skirmish to see the stats there was no stats even though I went to the sector and killed some of the NPC etc.
I'll see if I can post some more specifics
Additionally, the current Deneb stats page shows Serco winning, and as mentioned prior to this suggest that frequently this is the case where the actual sector wins show Itani winning
The Deneb stats page has no real bearing on who is actually winning in Deneb.
Serco winning on the stats page means nothing with no reward other then to say serco killed more turrets and then took more fighter skirmishes.
These fighter skirmishes do not show up on the Deneb skirmish list of the Deneb stats pages in the winning totals only.
This is exactly why the method to calculate the NPC wins backwards from a starting number of Deneb wins is never going to even close to accurate.
And why there is always such a huge difference in the Deneb stats page compared to the actual number of sector wins/losses
Currently the Deneb shows:
Serco / Itani 57/54 with players assisted wins at 21/17
So with more serco wins, Deneb stats shows Serco winning by 3 while having 4 more player wins over itani currently
However, the actual sector wins/losses currently are Itani / Serco 54/48 which means Serco are losing Deneb by 6 while having 4 more player assisted wins then Itani team
Last week was pretty even and so I can only speculate there were less turret kills which resets those fighter missions and thus was more accurate
However, without having a better idea of how many turret kills / fighter missions itani took there is no real given number to actually work with to know the NPC differences at all.
Anyhow I know this subject was already covered but since many do not thing there is any problem with balance at all.
I would at least like to suggest that the Deneb stats match the actual Deneb sector stats ?
The only one that provides any benifit to the winning team is the sector score not these extra fighter missions, unless the devs plan to change vo so that the Deneb stats will be the deciding factor in deciding the outcome of the Deneb war and war voys etc ?
Anyhow, I'll post some more details about the (0) assisted player skirmish when there is actually player activity

Oh one more question about the player assisted missions
Do you have to actually kill something ? I assume yes and thus go to the sector to test this topic.
However what if I take the mission and abort, and serco wins ?
Should there be a (1) assisted player mission or not ?
Please advise

Seconded. Slap extra columns on it if you want to also show the matches that don't count.

If you don't do anything in the mission worthy of a stat, you don't count as participating. I'll try to address the discrepancies soon; very specific examples would be extremely helpful.
Pizzasgood - agreed
mamerath42 - look at the current Deneb stats count the skirmishes
There are currently 30 Serco player assisted skirmishes on the list some showing (0) assisted wins. I'm not sure what this means ? Or if the 22 current Serco assisted wins includes this or excludes it ?
While there are currently showing itani player assisted wins of 19, the skirmish list also shows 21 ?
Currently 59/59 itani/serco deneb wins, but actually the score is now 59/50 itan while serco has more assisted wins.
I would like to see separate colums for sector wins and separate those fighter/turret wins/losses too but also the skirmish counts should match the sector counts as well whatever they are.
I know probably not pressing issue but just wanted to get my suggestion in que for review.

Examples:
Deneb P-4 Serco Medium Jul 9 2012 18:00 14h 20m 1
No kills no real participation but 1 win
Deneb O-2 Serco Small Jul 9 2012 19:00 17h 54m 3
No serco kills no real participation but 1 win
Deneb N-2 Serco Fighter Jul 10 2012 06:00 0h 10m 0
This one and other similar ones show up with 0 participation wins, howeve it's on the list as if it's a win, and yet no stats.
Some missions like this in which there was actually stats and kills shows no wins and no participation so no score
Deneb L-3 Itani Medium Jul 10 2012 13:00 9h 37m 3
no itani kills or real participation but a win non the less
Deneb N-2 Serco Fighter Jul 10 2012 14:00 0h 11m 0
Deneb I-2 Serco Fighter Jul 10 2012 14:00 0h 11m 0

no stats
Deneb L-14 Itani Fighter Jul 12 2012 19:00 9h 0m 0
no stats
It's like this all up and down the page and I can't say which particular missions actually had stats or show 0 or no stats. I can say that I have seen this often where I took a mission and either got kicked or aborted or did not come back and retake it to finish the mission.
Either a win or loss in which there may be 0 stats, or sometimes show participation but show a 0 win and 0 kills/assisted etc.
I can't speculate why it does this but it's far from the actual sector count wins/losses
Perhaps it should be dumbed down to deal with the first and basic topic of actual Sector win/losses
Maybe some sort of static bool where only Deneb stats are added where there is a change to the sector score.
Separate column for extra fights and do something about the no stats and (0)'s
I hope this helps

As of Today Mon July 16,
Current Stats
Summary
Faction Wins Player Assisted Wins Participants Casualties Inflicted Player Kills
Itani 9 2 2 12 0
Serco 6 1 2 48 0
Skirmishes
Sector Winning Nation Size Start Duration Participants
Deneb B-11 Itani Medium Jul 16 2012 00:00 9h 40m 2
Deneb B-13 Serco Fighter Jul 16 2012 03:00 6h 30m 0
Deneb A-11 Itani Large Jul 16 2012 03:00 11h 43m 1
Deneb A-12 Serco Small Jul 16 2012 08:00 11h 34m 2
Quick question what actually happens to the (0) items if they do not show in the Deneb stats page as a player assisted win ?
Do the resort back to an NPC win ? Or do they get excluded entirely ?
This would be unfortunate if they simply get excluded and yet it may have actually been an NPC win which will not be discounted due to (who knows why) ?
Please advise on this topic if known
Thanks
