The Conquering

Mecha, the problem with a flat 24h lockout to conquer a station is that it doesn't stop the opposing team/faction/whatnot from simply waiting for all the current defenders to wander off after the timer expires. Essentially what you would be doing with this change is guaranteeing one day of free use for the conquering person and whomever they let in.

I think Ghost has the right idea for how to improve station conquest, so +1 to that idea.

Chaosis: Why would the defenders wander off when the battle for their station approaches? The opportunity is the station is up for grabs again, the defenders could retake the station at that battle.

Because they need to put food on the plate, and they can't play VO while they drive buses around the city, or rescue maidens from burning buildings, or give Suzie's puppy a rabies shot. Not all of us are retired.

As for how they conquered it at that time in the first place? Shift work, weekends, holidays, etc.

I don't disagree with that, but that is an issue in anything we do in the game. So I don't see how it is a specific destructive force to this issue.
