Making REPAIRING/capships useful.
Why i came to this idea, i get myself hated in UIT and realized when flying around Dua that repairing could finally be useful in this senario.
Now i notice that most players have will good standing on everything, so can repair at every station in the game.
this makes repairing anybody other then well the pup types and people like me pirating nationspace really worth it. ( as currently well there is no reason to repair somebody rly ).
Now given the above and limited power of caps ships, i'm for making stationless places ( only Wormholes in the sector ), preferable at locations players will visit anyway.
Who this will effect running ballance in theory:
1. You will be less likely to get away running as you have to take 2 jumps before your 'safe', in place of 1 jump / your back at full health
2. Guilds with capships will get a bigger advantage when the capships are there, as it means easy control of the sector, as you can repair in sector where you enemy can not.
Motivating players to fight over it:
now a good sector for this would be in my mind edras, as there is already a ton of traffic going over there and players generally fight there anyway, but the motivation would effectively be the same as it currently is getting from A to B.
Final goal of this move:
Make repairs and capships more usefull then they are today.

Was there an actual suggestion buried somewhere in that garbled mass of text?

Somewhere out there, Paladin Of Lancelot is agreeing with every word of this.
I'm pretty sure I made a suggestion thread somewhere about having remote sectors. It would significantly improve the value of capships, transport, escorts, supply lines and repair modules. If they put some rare ore there or some other things that drew people in, it would be a place for some much more interesting gameplay.
I think he wants systems with no stations.
^^ what he said.. Sorry, not feeling particularly articulate today.. alcamahol!
Thnx rin/pizzasgood,
Thats exactly the idea
note to self i should not post on the VO board after 2 in the morning.

Note to Deathzor: the above sentence is five words too long.

hey my own personal troll finally i always wanted one
Edras is pretty close to that already. G-11 has utter crap as far as ships and weapons go.
But yeah +1 to a stationless new system. Put nasty hive bots and really friggin good mining sectors in there too.
