Hello. I have been flying round looking for people to see if they want an escort, but haven't been able to find people. I think that when you hover above a sector on the 'Nav' menu, it should give you a number of how many people are in that sector.

Just let people know in /100 that you're willing to provide escort services and tell them to pm you for more info......

I think that if I want to hide in an otherwise empty sector, nobody should know in advance that anybody is in there.

I vote they implement some form of stealth tech first (e.g. you don't show up on radar, but also cannot move, or only move slowly, etc.). Then they could do stuff like this, except omitting stealthed ships.

I think for new players this might be a good idea, but only for station sectors. I would also simply highlight the station on the map rather than provide the number of players.

+1 to make Friendly stations report how many players present. And total ships nearby.

By nearby you mean something like within four or five sectors? Because that would actually be pretty cool, without revealing anybody's exact position.
