Just an idea:
Accelerated Avalon Torpedo Launcher
Port: L (capship only, forward-facing centerline weapon)
Mass: 10,000 kg
Damage: 15,000
Energy: 60/rocket
Prox Radius: 10m
Velocity: 150 m/s
Ammo: 20 (if CD's continuous replenishment idea is implemented, I suggest a full replenishment every 10 minutes)
Delay: 0.5s / 18.5s
Fires Avalons at 150 m/s in salvos of 4, with a 0.5s delay between each rocket. 18.5s delay between salvos, measured from the last rocket of the previous salvo.

I still think they need to be targetable, destroyable, and guided, but that would mean the devs would have to make a new class of weapons instead of just big slow rockets like they are now.

oh the idea of torpedoes that you can shoot down in mid flight is AWESOME. We already have that dynamic with the shield turrets, but its so poorly implemented..
Edit: oooohhh... howbout this.. an avalon that you shoot from a ship, its destroyable and it has tracking, and the longer its alive, the more momentum it gains until it hits up to a maximum of like 100m/s. That way you need to stop it right at the bomber, otherwise it gets harder and harder to stop before it hits its target.

We have this with mines as well. The game just doesn't provide a means to target them by default. Some plugins do...

i meant as a trident main gun arf, personally I think even a small capitol ship should be pretty fuckign hard to take down in a single seat craft.

I like the avalons the way they are actually they are quit cool
Even though I complain about the lack of damages in the past, but I don't think i would change these at all.
I'm very happy with them and perhaps only make them slightly more powerful or even increase the damage radius or play with that some but nothing drastic I like them just like they are.

you don't have a problem with their ridiculous fuse and their pathetic speed? you just want more damage?
