Hives should attack Conq Stations!
Seems a little suspect that they avoid every sector but the conq stations! I think this would add an interesting element to the capstations.
Go ahead, point your political fingers at me, you finger pointers. But ONLY la familia attacks the stations, It would be much more interesting if they could be defended against the hive every now and then for funsies. Station conquering and defense is fun for all those involved. It doesn't happen often enough.

I have no objection to the idea, I'd love to see every station randomly attacked by hive and ion storms because I would find it amusing. Though I'm working from the title and not the text because I have no fucking idea what your trying to say in the actual message part :p 'they avoid every sector but the conq stations'??? I assume from the title that 'they' would be the 'hive'.
The only problem as I see it is that only one station is in a dynamic system. The remainder are in static. Which means only Latos would randomly be attacked by hive.
Any hive presence would have to be well out of range of the turrets and sf.

Unlike Some players the Hive is governed by an intelligence that tries to gather material with the least effort by its loyal drones.
If the Hive staged a coordinated attack on a station (any) it could provide some interesting game play.
Some good AI work would need to be done to make it interesting and some sort of loss condition established to lock all players out of the area if the Hive wins.
Perhaps allowing the Hive to take any station forcing the evacuation of the sector and having it patrolled by a monstrous sized hive skirmish might be fun.
The attack itself would need to be strong enough to quickly wipe out the turrets and keep them gone while the hive was present

Hive should attack stations. This would justify the ongoing war against the hive.

We have a war against the Hive???
I kill them because i like to didnt know we were at war with them :-)

+1 all the way
There is some usefullness for the hive to be attacking the conquerable stations, diversion.
Has anybody played C&C 3? the aliens attacked population centers, not for their resources but to buy time for them to build their things out in the uninhabitable parts of the planet.
I'm not advocating for grand scale attacks on stations by the hive (yet). I'm only talking about minor attacks, half a dozen hive bots assaulting a few turrets, just to liven things up a bit.
It wouldn't really pose much risk to station defenses, unless a the defenses are neglected for a week or so. Have the hive bots attack the strongest, closest turrets first. The idea being to weaken the defense turrets rather equally, until say all the turrets are down to a maximum of 10%. If the hive attacks and see this, it should dispatch a larger force. I'm thinking (this is off the top of my head) a strike force comprising maybe 2 dozen bots, mostly guardians and assault bots.
If they completely wipe out the defenses (would take many, many, many attacks over a week or two), then they should take the station and use it's production facilities to manufacture more hive bots. The larger size of the production facilities in the stations giving a greater economy of scale for the hive being the RP reason for this.
A hive operated station should be a fairly tough nut to crack though, with say a two guardian class bots set to protect each turret, and maybe a couple of roving observers set to repair any friendly damaged ships/turrets they come within a kilometer of.
Something like this would require the current three conquerable station sectors to probably never go inactive which I would hope wouldn't be a massive drain on server resources (if the servers can't handle three active sectors, then how would they handle 2 or 3 hundred players spread out across the galaxy?)
Either way, at least small probing attacks would help liven things up a little / be fun to watch.

There's bunches of missions and (what appears to be) military forces mobilized to eliminate the Hive. Lots of NPCs die for that cause. Sounds like a war to me.
What the heck is the hive?
Go play the game some more before worrying about the suggestion forum.
