It would be good for people playing on tablets to have a readily available guide to using plugins.

I'd be all for that, if we could get a version of that post that was clear, concise, and not full of speculation and extra, unnecessary steps. Not to mention stating that certain plugins don't work, simply because they aren't tablet friendly (one of which actually has touch support builtin now).

There are various UI interface mechanics which aren't very tablet friendly, such as double-clicking (tapping) a branch in a tree to make it expand. So for someone who isn't aware of these short-comings, it can seem like the plugin doesn't work.

I can tell you from working on my Android phone (HTC Inspire 4G) that half of those steps are unnecessary or convoluted. But I also don't want to submit any corrections due to not having some of the more troublesome devices to test on. It's already come out, due to other bugs, that the actual location the plugins need to be installed in is not consistent across devices. Until there is a way to consistently identify the exact location the plugins need to be installed, it would be of marginal benefit.

There have been a couple people I've tried to help install plugins. They all insisted they had found the exact directory I was telling them to find, and that it had the appropriate indicator files within it. But none of these people were able to get their plugins working.
