Deneb stats, do it or else
Once again it is time to hassle the devs into making a deneb stats page, this time the suggestion requested by Inc as if he had never seen such a suggestion before while he was on IRC yesterday
Reasons:
#1 Show off your nationalist might
#2 Prove you are better than your enemy
#3 Increase competitive nature
Format:
Banner similar to how the ctc stats opens up with general nation stats
Nation | Sectors Won | Casualties Inflicted | Player kills
Itani | 32 | 36789 | 25
Serco |31 | 312345 | 20
Followed up by participants and their stats
Player | Nation | Casualties Inflicted | Casualty assists | Player kills | Win/Loss
CrazySpence | Itani | 2000 | 1000 | 10 | 6/4
SercoPerson | Serco | 2 | 3 | 1 | 4/6
Clicking the players name should bring up a duel style player page showing the similar stats for ALL time not just weekly and also list any players killed/killed by and the amount
Player | Nation | Casualties Inflicted | Casualty assists | Player kills | Win/Loss
CrazySpence | Itani | 2000 | 1000 | 10 | 6/4
Killed:
SercoPerson 9
BadUIT 1
Killed by:
SercoPerson 1
BadUIT 2
Suicides: 3
I know most if not all of these values are already recorded, at least at the time of the match so this other than a little web formatting shouldnt be an excessive amount of work.
Kill assists are technically counted because you get partial XP for anything you've shot
It could be broken up into capship kills, fighters etc, but really what matters is casualties and player kills. After this is implemented then Deneb badge threads could be considered

This is a big deal in the back-story and should be a big deal in-game.
+100000
+100000
+79
+1 More stats is allways good!
Also, indicate what side someone is fighting for. That's always clear for Serco and Itani, but not for UIT players.
true, perhaps the nation table can refer to the side instead, the nick can be red yellow or blue to indicate origin
We are officially looking into it, for the near-term.
Excellent
And behold:

Ended up being a bit more complicated to implement than originally anticipated. I'm sure there will be many requested changes and improvements, which will be ongoing, but this is the start. It doesn't have all the features requested (all the names of users killed, etc), but again, a start.

Love it.
Just one teensy little request that will likely get me yelled at by my fellow players. Could we have a 'Surrendered' column for each player / nation that lists the number of times someone aborts a mission or logs off when their side is at a deficit of say 50 kills or greater if the battle actually goes to the opponent?
Another thing that may be entirely too difficult to implement, would be to include players that go inactive during a conflict and their side loses.
Ok. Maybe two teensy little requests then...
Another column titled 'Heroic' or 'Till the Bitter End' for players that take a mission with long odds like say 170 kills vs 70 kills, and fights to the end of the mission, regardless of outcome. Or where the odds are 1 player vs multiple of 3 or more.

that's a pinch excessive Mr Fluff, but i love the current stats.
With a visible measure of your impact in a battle this may encourage more participation for anti enemy gloating rights

Suggestion:
Instead of a long list of skirmishes which will approach 255 rows by the end of the week, how about a map like this one: http://ratelis.com/map/map4.html
