Advancements in PvP commerce

Allowing people to buy items directly from your hold to there's would be pretty darn cool.
Lets Say I have some FCP for Sale at Latos N-15. Another player is looking for some. So I can now Advertise it on a public channel, for instance:

[100] <Player 1> Hey i'm looking for some FCP, does anyone have some for sale?
[100] <Player 2> Oh, I have some for sale... Let me PM you the location so you don't get pirated.
[100] <Player 1> Thanks Very Much! How many credtis will it cost per?
[100] <Pirate 1> Ah Darn :(
[100] <Player 2> 450K
*** Player 1: Hey the Are for sale in Latos N-15
*** Player 2--> Ok thanks mate!

Now Player 2 Heads to Latos N-15 and Finds Fused Composite Plating under "Player Sold Items", under the sub-tab of commodities. Next to "buy' and "Sell". Along with that are numerous items for sale by many different people. Then the labeled price would be set by the Player whose selling the item. This would allow another form of competition. And allow players to make a makeshift store out of there stations. To put an item for sale PDA>Inventory>Inventory, Double Click (tap) on desired item. And a new tab comes up With a Textbox for Price, quantity, and maybe Notes. When a Player Buys it. The credits will Automatically go into the sellers bank.

Yes, also you could add a feature where you can teleport cargo around, and then nobody would ever need to leave the stations! [/sarcasm]

You can already safely trade by just not giving out your ships location, and dumping the stuff in space. Ok, this leaves room for people like me to rip someone off, but hey, that's all part of Vendetta. This would effectively remove part of the game for me, and actually remove the element of trust/dis-trust that happens with the current p2p trade system.

Maybe this could be done with capships though instead. Capship owner stocks the ship full of goods, and anyone with permission to dock could then buy it, but maybe that's for a new thread.

If the stations buy/sell it, the stations set the price. I'm cool with the idea of stations keeping an inventory of stuff that people sell there (heck, i even suggested something like that), but allowing players to set the price essentially removes the need to trust who you're buying from/selling to and makes player trade 100% perfectly safe.

As yodaofborg said: minus one billion one. The name of the game is Vendetta, not Space Commerce Deluxe.

I prefer soimething closer to a player owned booth, fixed location and limited to one per player, and another for each Guild.

Sort of sub-tabs of Trade, where the "shop owner" can add items to sell, setting price, and any player see all player-sold items as a full list of locally selling items...

Also for cappies, but in this case it only hosts the ship owner trade "mall"... and ship owner can purchase and sell items wiith a sort of local bank/credit account...
