That was my first question when I read they were chosen to drop them: Will they use them?
Makes sense that they should (why would they drop a weapon they didn't have equipped?), but that makes farming them a much more lethal endeavor.

I'll go with a +1 on this, just to see what happens when a static queen escort spawns with Arklans, and avalons start indiscriminately detonating around the cloud of bots and players :)

Sure. But asteroids can't dodge. Also, Arklans are tough. They take an Avalon to the face like it was a dodgeball.

I shot some Avalons at a static queen. A pair of them takes the shield down to 70% and kills any weaker bots in range. It's also very easy to kill yourself that way.
