More damage caused by ramming into asteroids and atuff
I think that the ships should be damaged much more when I hit a roid, another ship or a station, depending on the velocity and the armor. The current damage caused by a collision is too low.
It really looks weird when you hit something when your speed is 225 m/s and your ship is only scratched a little bit.

Hahahaha. Yes, please, do this! ;)
I've blown up many a ship by crashing into roids and stations. You must be doing it wrong.
tonda, +1 :}
It used to be like this, back in alpha (tagging something slightly and you would blow up). People found it frustrating and not very fun, especially when they were learning to fly.
On the other hand, it would be interesting to create variations in the amount of collision damage that could be done by different types of objects. So like.. stations would not do much, but maybe a certain kind of asteroid would make you explode if you just grazed it.. then flying through a really dense field of that asteroid would bring a new level of situational awareness, especially under combat conditions.

Just grazing something and exploding doesn't make sense; I hated that about JGR. I vote for a reasonable middle ground.
+1
reasonable middle ground like stations would not do much(damage), but maybe a certain kind of asteroid would make you explode if you just grazed it.
Also, make damage exponentially related to speed, so hit the same ship to the same target <70m/s results little damage, but >200m/s results in in death. Hitting most roid at <10m/s results in no damage. Except ?Pyronis? roids, that reacts to any contact and explodes (the ship, not the roid). Why Pyronis? Its name relates to fire... don't play with fire!
Same applies to ships, damage directly related to squared speed, applying same % damage to both (small) ships.
How is it now? Seems same damage amount to both ships, is it? So it allows bumpkill...
Sorry if gone OT again, but those are related to "damage caused by ramming into asteroids and atuff"

Please, Gods, yes. I will be popping moths and XCs in nation space without consequence in no time.

You, moron, have hit a new low.
