Rewards for plugin developers
Do you plan any rewards for those who create plugins, for example free subscriptions (based on plugin downloads etc)?
Why would you reward crashing the game, fucking up the interface and generally making the game inaccessible to newbs?
+1 Genka
First of all, the devs have absolutely no way to track plugin downloads, since each person hosts his plugins on his own (either via his own webspace, some free file sharing service, voupr.com, etc). The only way that could work would be if the devs ran their own official plugin repo, where you have to be logged in for your download to count, and only one download per account were recorded. Downloads from trial accounts would be counted separately and only added to the main count if the trial account becomes a subscription.
Not worth the hassle, in my opinion. If you really like a plugin, find some way to compensate the writer - for example, drazed of TargetLess has a donation button. Some people might be happy with just some in-game compensation - a donation of credits, for example. In my case, bringing a mothload of consumer robotics or gauss cannon mkIII to the latos/sedina/odia area would make my day.
Of course, most people also appreciate a simple "thank you" as well ;)

The reward for making a plugin is other people using it and finding it useful. :P
Personally, I just enjoy building them. If anyone uses something I write and comments on it favorably, that's reward enough.
And in answer to Genka before he makes a fool of himself again, properly designed and written plugins will NOT crash the game or make anything inaccessible. Those are usually the result of someone who's just throwing something together and not testing it enough with other plugins to ensure compatibility.

I do accept paypal donations via targetless.com, and use them to buy game-time or pizza/beer, so feel free to send me a month/pizza/whatnot :) I don't expect donations however, and everyone is free to use targetless with no compensation :D
I do get lots of thanks and respect in game though, and that is more then reward enough alone :)
