Tridents are well, underpowered as combat vehicles, and inefficient as cargo transports.

This is to be expected from an older ship design, but hulls of tanks have been upgraded for a long time, why not large space ships. ie http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Sherman

Perhaps there should be atleast two main variants, a combat and a transport version.

The transport version should be able to carry a good 600cu of stuff, not the piddley amount it can now.

The combat version should be armed with an additional weapon, one of the main guns for the teredon.

I'm not looking for anything fancy, just something to make them clearly different variants.
