External Hull Mission for Cappies
The current crafting mission for the hull assemblies requires 250 hull panels availible only from Verasi c4. Each panel is 6 Cu's so only 33 at a time can be carried in an XC requiring 8 trips across 4 wormholes each way. 24 of these assemblies are required per trident.
Thats 36000 Cus of materials in addition to 120 Fluid formable units and 48 Internal bulkheads.
In future Versions I would like to suggest that the hull panel requirement be reduced a bit.
100 Hull panels at 6 CU would seem to be a bit more reasonable (Reduces credit cost as well)
Or
The hull panels could be reduced from 6 cus to 3 or 4 cus. each which would only reduce the volume needed.
Or
Make hull panels availible in a closer system like Ukari to reduce hauling time and vary supply locations/routes a bit.

I don't know how many Trident M's the devs want to see made using the ridiculous grind as it stands, but obviously they want to have a comfortable amount of time to refine the content before making capital ships easier to acquire. There have already been 2 major reductions in the entire process, implemented early on, and I agree there should be a few more, and that hull panel haul is high on the list.
As it is, PaK, you need to make every fused plate trip to you-know-where return to you-know-where-you-came-from with hull panels.

I think you are confusing External Equipment Mounts (24 required per trident) with External Hull Assemblies (8 required per trident).
That makes the total volume of Hull Plates required 15,600 cu (12,000 cu for 8 External Hull Assemblies plus 3,600 cu for the final Trident-M mission)

It was 24 external hull assemblies last I checked but I will recheck it tonight to be sure. The devs may have reduced the mission since It was originally released and I have been known to make an error now and then.
Just checked - yeah it is only 8 but the mission still could use a bit of trimming.
