Voice Chat Channels
Would it be possible to have multiple VC channels availible and a way to select between them?
I was thinking they could be linked with the text chat so that you listen to the currently selected chat channel. Something like /J 100 might also connect your VC to a global server or possibly the radio button selected in the HUD might be utilised.
Just a odd thought.

Its actually not such a bad idea. In keeping with new VC features, an option for VC when target some one and bring press k would be pretty cool as well. Great way to communicate out of guild/group and if pirates could actually use VC to give a demand, it could save newbs a ton of hassle. Also, it would be fun exchange taunts when doing PvP.
[EDIT] More aimed at the topic, maybe a sector and system channel.[EDIT]

Sector voice chat would be nice.
As for using VC for piracy, that would not be a very practical idea. For one thing, it's optional. For another, it requires that the piratee has his volume turned up, doesn't have a hearing impediment, and doesn't have other loud distracting sounds in the background (VC reduces the volume of VO's sounds, but not your external media player, your stereo, your TV, the construction workers outside, etc.).
For things that need to be reliable it is best to use text. Less ability to misunderstand or even outright miss segments of the communication.
One problem with VC and multiple channels is you can't really blend multiple channels together in a way that is semi-coherent like you can with the text based chat. The more different channels there are, the less likely the people you want to talk to are in the channel you are in.
