If you're wondering why I said links, I don't knwo how to refer to them- I'm pretty pathetic on teh interwebs.

Thespian... I'm not certain that quoting Mr. T strengthens your objection.
There are circumstances where it would, but this is not one of them.
As for the op, they are called links, yes. Having them be mixed case or even just making the letters that would be lowercase be smaller versions of their uppercase equivalents would be nice, imo. But until you said something I hadn't even noticed, so that makes me think that changing it wouldn't make a huge difference.
