"Mentored by" under player stats screen
As the title suggests, "Mentored by: <player1>, <player2>..." would look neat right beneath player kills on the player statistics screen.
This would help prospective mentors find new students, and fellow students find noteworthy mentors. As an additional feature the mentor's name would show up when/only if they were given a + rating by the student.
Student A: "let's fight!"
Student B: "Okay!"
Student B decimates Student A with tricky maneuvers and stunning accuracy
Student A: "Hmm, who were you trained by? I see under your character screen it says 'Mentored by so-and-so'... I'll have to keep an eye out for them"

Maybe make it optional, in case a person would rather not give that information away.
+2, I very much like this idea. It'd be very helpful.
Well, this suggestion certainly goes far to show that the mentor system isn't nearly as bad as it could be.
Come on, genka, where's your sense of creative in-game trolling? Just imagine how much fun you could have by generating a humorous screen name, helping unsuspecting noobs, and thereby forever imprinting their character descriptions with such witticisms as Mentored by A Thick Serco Schlong
In completely unrelated news, +1 to this idea, -1 to making it optional
