Fixing the Station welcome menu. and skinning in general
Right now the welcome menu is the only part of the UI that's really being a bitch to skin. It uses elements from 3 different sub menus making it really fucking hard to differentiate other submenus from each other.
Skinning is overly complicated for VO, someone needs to mess with the UI code to get this shit fixed and organized, right now not only are half the files in the default skin obsolete the other half is just really hard to keep track of what goes where because the filenames are confusing as fuck.
Its really hard to keep track of what tiny 16x16 pixel image goes where when you have about 100 different tiny images getting duplicated, overlapped and streched to 1920x1200.
Most of the commerce_tab stuff is from the old vo UI and is completely obsolete.
Oh and all the skin instruction http://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/16/13370?page=3#168610 stuff is way from the old UI and more or less useless these days making anyone who wants to make a skin have to figure out what file does what for 100 different imagess :/
I'm starting to think its easier to write plugins than making a skin that looks good in every menu.

+1 to game UI (station + HUD) revamp. Maybe include some existing skins as options.
Right now i'm trying to work on my new skin and the Ship>Sell menu is using pda_sub_sub_tab_listbox_border.png as a listbox for the items when its not even a sub_sub menu tis actually just _sub so what this does since i try to have each _sub tab looking a darker/lighter color to make it look good it gives it shitty looking edges like so.

its not really that bad and takes awhile to notice but this happens in quite a few menus and is fucking annoying because i can't fix it without making other parts of the skin fuck up in their respective menus!
Y U NO WORK PROPERLY DAMMIT
FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
[Edit] the loadunload list is also borked and a still another few things i'll post em as i find em.
The welcome menu uses sub_sub_sub stuff when it should actually be sub_sub_ or sub_ .
all the root_ stuff is not used anywhere.
I bet whatever dev reads this is gonna have no fucking clue what i'm talking about.

I think people might have an easier time if they had a plugin which displayed what image and iup template is being used for a particular element when you click on it, or something.
The commerce -> welcome tab has a lot of subsubsub stuff, with subsub bg separators.

that kind of dumb cosidering its just a sub_sub menu... and only has one sub sub sub box that actually has tabs and usese the subsubsub2 stuff because the subsubsub stuff is used int the ship > configure subsubsub menus
