It makes no sense to have the hive dropping them. Voys should be using and dropping these.

Having the hive drop them is just a carebear means of getting them 'legitimately' into the hands of traders.

Or just take them away. I'm not sure anyone really uses them tbh. :P I'm certainly not wasting a port.

If you used it, I'd still pirate you no mater what you were carrying. The mere fact that you are THERE means I'll go for it!

I proposed a long ago that cargo scanner/spoofer/blocker should have absolutely no relation to the Hive. All them should only be available for sale at some gray stations.

Why would the Hive want/use cargo spoofers and blockers?

The hive are supposed to be self-replicating, so maybe they'll eventually be carrying more interesting cargo (mainly ship components, weapons, etc.), and that aspect just hasn't been implemented yet. In that case, the transports might want to carry spoofers so that it looks like they're carrying less valuable ores and such rather than, say, queen processor cores.
