Robot mining Ability for players
I would love to see Robot mining ability where in say Mining stations, buy a number of robot ship/ships, and set a goal to mine whatever specific ore and to go to stations to sell at the highest current system price, and some of the profits get donated to if the player is part of a guild, to that, and the rest to the player that the robot/robots are assigned too say 25%/75% profit margin... and also to have license as well increased with this ability... and robot ships price wise depends on how much cargo they can hold, so 10,000 each for say 40cu space, and another 5,000 for each 10cu increase...

to "Fluffy" I think this should allowed as well during other missions, not mining related... and the player himself can do whatever he wants while his/her robots do the work.. mining is a bit of a pain really doing urself considering how much needs to be gotten to really advance lol
Your mining license should not change unless you actually mine. If anything, paying NPCs to mine for you should increase your trade license, but even that is pushing it.
Also, the NPCs should be ignorant of your guild unless you tell them to split profits with them.
I do like the idea of being able to hire NPC minions, though.

It was already proposed, and remains interesting. But not as ability.
But instead of mining stations, offer mining bots for rent from Conquerable Stations, as a missions with 2,4,8 collectors. They allways remain within 1km from player, and can be ordered to "mine nearby" or "follow me".
So, can't order to mine this or that ore. Miner must lead the bots to a proper place, order to mine and lead them back to station to sell/unload.
Not possible as PCC mission. But it would be very FUN and profitable. An irresistible bait for pirates...

NO! For flipping heck's sake no more conquerable station content! This must be available at mining stations. We have enough stuff for conquerable stations already and coming with the old and new manufacturing missions and possibly player trading(?). It makes sense to have them at mining stations because mining stations 1: aren't hidden from the normal map 2: receive supplies from convoys to repair, rearm, refuel, whatever else the collectors and 3: mining stations have very little present function, besides missions that give no standing or XP and under-market prices for ore.

Ok, agree with bind it to mining stations. Really makes sense.
But if they cost a lot to rent and operator players are willing to pay for their bots to be left alone and the safety deposit / interest, are compelling reasons to make a miner pay, if the demand is smaller than its value...
If I am flying a 20Kc ship and a pirate demands me 100Kc, it is cheaper to die. But if I am leading a 5Mc fleet of mining bots and a pirate asks me politely for 1Mc for guarding my bots (from himself), I consider it a great deal and pay!
Fun for miners, rats and escorts.
