Push PvP/Add More Risk
I put this in the survey thread and I would like to have a discussion or see player opinions:
If PvP is such a strong aspect of Vendetta Online why not push it with more PvP missions? Also, add some more risk to the decisions we make as players! Push the RPG aspect!
For example, if a player ventures to greyspace, have Corvis with missions that have you fight your own faction and engage in piracy. Something like destroy so many faction players (with good standing) in their own space. Push players to shoot each other. Give these missions good combat/weapon license along with faction boosts. Also, have there be higher consequences when completing ALL types of missions. If you're mining around or assisting convoys in greyspace why wouldn't your main faction standing decrease? Why should I have access to my main faction equipment if I'm engaging in a lot of piracy and essentially supplying outside of my main faction?
Not only would this push PvP, but it will push the importance of faction choice and other missions that are overlooked. This would put a lot more risk in the game.

I for one, try to avoid missions unless I'm in the mood for botting. I would never take a mission to engage in pvp, mine or trade.
As for the RPG aspect, there are a number of talented players in the PCC who are hard at work adding some very good content.

+1. Oh, it's "Corvus." (Just trying to be helpful :-) )
There are no penalties for killing people/NPC in greyspace because grey is unmonitored. There's no way for the ships to report that they've been killed after they're dead.

"missions that have you fight your own faction and engage in piracy. "
This already exists... its actually a pretty fun mission tree.
Fluffy... I understand where you're coming from with avoiding missions... but, a much broader selection of missions would appeal to newer players and the bored vets who drool over anything new, thus potentially increasing Newb subs and vet retention.

danielkabrinski,
in general +1, but the idea is already partially implemented

pvp missions are rather cumbersome so long as we're limited to one mission at a time, and we don't have a sufficiently large playerbase to drive constant player interactions.
Ryan, I agree completely. One of VO's very large weaknesses is that players very quickly reach a point of nothing left to achieve apart from badges, credits or pk's.
Now what would be cool, would be someone initiates a trade mission delivering to station x periodically results in station y which is en route offering pilots of questionable moral compass a prize for retrieving said goods and delivering to y. I might be inclined to take one end or the other of that.
