Missile Targetting HUD
I think it would be neat if the missiles still kept their instant-lock and fast firing properties, however I think it would also be neat if there was a toggle-able HUD drawn on the screen when missiles are equipped that always shows the missiles current target, possibly with some extra missile-swap-target controls, along with the missile's current plotted course towards the current target. Also it seems like the missiles are a little slow, at least the nub missiles...and they don't have an initial speed boost based on the speed of the ship, in that if I fly up to full burn (around 180m/s) with tab, then launch a missile, I appear to pass the missile almost immediately, instead of the missile launching with my speed + normal missile starting boost, then maybe having extra drag on the missile due to the friction in the lower density near solar atmospheres.
Missiles are intentionally slow, since they should not be primary weapons (exceptions reinforce the rule).

Why do they not teach kids how to use the internets correctly in elementary school?

I agree. Netiquette, a basic introduction to programming, and an introduction to assembling a computer from the major components need to become topics covered in the standard education. The latter two not necessarily in elementary, of course...
Regarding missiles, yeah, their physics are pretty weird. Sometimes playing this game just requires a little suspension of disbelief. But it allows for using missile stacking to take out hive queens, which is always good for a little stress relief. The sound that a properly stacked set of 80 chaos swarms makes gives you that tingly feeling you get when a storm is getting ready to cut loose.

"stacked set of 80 chaos swarms makes gives you that tingly feeling...", followed by a lagging sensation.
