Player or guild owned instances, random instances

I notice that the game is a series of "small" maps, each connected via the jump/warp mechanism. I notice some other games allow for guild houses or player houses, how about some sort of item or device, possibly somewhat high level, that will teleport a player or group to a randomly generated map, possibly based on a few templates or via some other mechanism. This would potentially make the game 'infinitely' large, while also allowing for some mechanism for other players and groups to find each other. This could also allow for random instancing, I haven't tried the hive group quests yet, however having a random group quest generator might be pretty neat too. It might also be good to allow people to modify the random personal areas, and also to return to a previous one and save them, with modifications being things such as building/assembling a space station, setting up defenses, mining, planetary and asteroid colonization, and other options.

Infinitely large space sounds cool in theory, but as-is people have trouble finding other players. The universe is already much too big for the current population.

planetary and asteroid colonization

+1, but this idea was already suggested before and I don't believe this will be implemented soon(tm).

I haven't tried the hive group quests yet

I suppose you'd better try all game content to be more or less competent.

-1 to infinite universe, in-game.

As Slime said, it is too big now. Maybe if playerbase increase a lot, like tenfold, we could expand universe.

+1 to some Random Sectors. Something like an ion storm takes you to a new sector, with weird/rare stuff inside. Things like moving roids with valuable ore, weird ship wrecks, flaring stars, black hole with accretion disk, etc...

That "extra" sector could become a great testbed.

+1 to Guild owned instances, something like a "home" station or capship.

All that was already proposed.

aersixb9, you really should play more the game. And use paragraphs, makes easier to read and understand your ideas.

We don't need guild owned instances. We already have conquerable stations. If we ever get buildable stuff, just pick a sector and build wherever.

Yeah okay, buildable stuff would be neat. Maybe some buildable and destroyable defenses, repair/rearm stations, mining colonies (visit often to haul out mined ore from huge asteroids or planets, along with options to affect mining colony output?), build space stations, maybe find a use for all the extra sectors. If players butchering up the "main" map is too harsh, maybe make a buildable area map, possibly using the aforementioned random map sector (s), and players can only place buildable space objects in a claimed explored sector. In order to generate one of these buildable sectors, maybe it would be necessary to first build or obtain a very expensive item, or at least reasonably expensive or somewhat common. This item will make a random area for the player or guild to own, and will give the owner some control over the area and the ability to place space stations. There is also a second item that allows people and guilds to find these areas, and to travel to them somewhat easily, along with possibly options and mechanisms to hide the new generated buildable area maps from low-level scanning. Raiding these areas and building up stuff in these areas, also trading in these areas all might be ways to make profits. There would also be a way to make these public, such as a public trading area hosted by a guild or something.

+1 to line breaks.
