Giving the hive thier own faction would go a long way to making unaligned players possible....

It would also make it easier to identify them.

The hive is hard to identify?

The hive has a faction, it is called UNALIGNED.

But that is just a name, almost like any other.

As I said many times, we need another faction, like a pariah nation, or the independents, damned, pirate or outlaw faction.

What we really need is one faction for pirates, griefers and traitors, so VO's IFF system make sense.

Clearly the hive is a faction of itself.
Moving the hive away from unaligned frees that designation for other uses such as pilots with no nation....

I had thought that the hive already had its own factions... Milanar, Prosus and Siepos. However, if what you're suggesting is simply to drop the "unaligned" from their descriptions, then sure... why not.
