Hi, all.

I am planning to host a new type of Vendetta events, a team tournament for capship's crews!

Capships are too expensive, and not available for "sport use". They only can be used in state-sanctioned operations. Therefore, teams of pilot and gunner(s) will use Atlas and/or Behemoths.

To better simulate capships behaviour, the pilots can't use any guns, only gunners shoots from turrets. And the ships must be completely loaded with any ore, full.

We are planning two events:

@ GunnerFest, when all ships and crews will meet and combat a single-life event, last ship standing takes the prize.

@ Forum-based tournament.
Considering the whole universe of players and timezones, this will be an "async" tournament for teams. Teams will be formed and matches are set in a duel style, in any date within a week.
Crews post result in forum, and we update main topic with resulting scores.

*Teams:
-Are named after Pilot+Gunners.
--( P1+P2 <> P2+P1 , but P1+P2+P3 = P1+P3+P2 )
>>Teams optionally can represent a Guild, holding its name
-Teams will duel 1 or more times, but only one result per week should be posted in forum.
-We ask teams to save log entries relative to duel realization, if diverging results are posted (T1,T2 both claim victory)

Scoring:
-There will be 2 stages for tournament:
--First week is selective, favours more interaction and victiories
---Each result against a new team is computed as 1 point
--Second week is eliminatory
---Tied teams are composed in direct duels, simple elimination, until winner

WARNING: Participation in tournament is unrelated to players owning or piloting real capships, since they are not available now. Maybe soon...

I invite more Guilds and Individuals interested in contribute to join event, and make it improve. Anyone interested in rewrite whole rules in better english, please do.

I agreed when this was discussed in game to put up 10 million of my own credits as a prize. I'll keep my word on that.
