Topic says it all, currently the behemoth heavies have I think 50k armor, take 2500 off and give them a 2500 shield that has no recharge rate, or maybe like .5/second. This would allow defenders to use flares and such to defend the convoy without risking getting fired on by the very ships they are trying to defend.

I'm not sure I see the point. Your still going to have the same problem when very quickly, the shields are taken down.

It might make more sense to use a low drain energy like the ravens instead.

I recommend 10k shields at 500/sec recharge. Easily broken, but can withstand a couple stray hits.
