Yup. You're absolutely right spedy. My mistake.
Yes, spedy on double check, I am too much of a newb to answer my own questions. I also traded in the alloy, not the purified stuff. It seems that the only mission with purified Xith in it besides CTC has been removed (and this was true before I ever played the game).
I'm still against having UIT allow you do settle your differences in their territory. Perhaps still have the UIT have a prohibition in it to make it a less attractive route, but only SF/Turrets/Bounty hunters can enforce it, and let UIT keep the Xith for itself =). That seems to me that it would accomplish the original goal of the idea, but still hold to UIT's position of not assisting directly in the war, and be logically consistent with their supposed reasoning for making the convoys travel through grey: keeping the whole mess out of their hair.
Heh, and on re-reading the OP, that's what you're proposing, so I'm convinced. +1

Disagree on permanent KOS, but making CTC cargo contraband in UIT and having bots attack people who bring it across a border seems like a good idea. Dropping the cargo would stop the attack, but the bots would hang around until it timed out (or pick it up - can they do that?).
I like the idea that someone carrying CtC Cargo (purified Xith) loses his UIT status while holding it, becoming "dislike" in UIT space. To avoid abuses, keep it 20secs after cargo drop.
To proper implement that, UIT should have border patrols that close in and "cargo scan" each and every ship entering border WH. If that ever gets implemented, then we have contraband system...
Simply: carry CtC cargo makes you "temp UIT dislike".

In my OP, someone that enters uit space losses no standing at all. They simply get a warning message.
The only way to lose standing, is to leave a uit sector with ctc. You did get a warning. Leave it lay or suffer.

Roda, notice that the temp dislike only have any consequences IF pilot is carrying CtC cargo AND while he remains inside UIT space.
No other change required to game engine, and achieves what you proposed. And 20sec after he drops or delivers CtC cargo the standing resume to previous level. Just like a temp KoS but 'lighter'.
I don't think that UIT should actively hunt or use turrets/bots against who carries CtC, but also should not protect him in any way. Even a UIT POS can be killed in UIT monitored space without any consequence while involved in CtC.

Alloh: I am not trying to allow ctc combat in uit. I am attempting to keep ctc out of uit. Your proposal would allow a pilot to run around in uit with ctc, and then blow it off after he delivers. mine would make it so only kos would dare try to trasport ctc in uit.
keep ctc combat in grey.

TLDR, but -1 cause Roda suggested it, and he only makes bad suggestions.
The OP makes more sense Alloh.
UIT is neutral and to a degree, worried/scared that the war may spill over into their nations space. By allowing pilots carrying purified Xith past their borders and through their space, a part of the war is spilling into UIT. Which can result in innocent UIT getting hurt, Serco or Itani blockades of UIT space, or in a strictly RP sense political turmoil from the Serco and Itani.
Dislike... temporary or not, would still allow any pilot carrying purified Xith to cross the border and cut through UIT nation space.
A temporary Kill on Sight status would would set the turrets, station guards and Strike Forces on on any one carrying purified Xith. Thus sending a clear message to the Serco and Itani as well as any UIT pilots engaging in CtC.
"Do what you want in Gray Space but, bring any aspect of the war here and you will be killed on sight."

ok, I agree.
+1 UIT Temp KoS for anyone while carrying CtC cargo until he leaves UIT nation. Same applies to who picks up any CtC cargo inside UIT space.
(OT: Another thing requiring border control / patrol)

Border patrols on all nations is a very cool idea which I have long thought would be great. In this case... (UIT)... a few WTDs with Cargo Scanner integrated. WTDs scan all ships, if they detect Purified Xith, they warn the pilot to drop it with in three seconds, if they do not they open fire.
THE BEST REASON TO DISALLOW PILOTS TO CARRY PURIFIED XITH INTO UIT.
From a UIT stand point... (business, sales and profit)... it is in their best interests to not let anyone carrying purified Xith enter their space. It is mined... (presumably) in Gray Space, refined and purified in Gray Space and used to make a weapon in Serco or Itani space that the UIT does not sell. There is no profit in it for the UIT, and that goes against the very core philosophies of their foundations.
In fact as I wrote this the UITs founders rolled over in their graves, vomited and shat themselves violently and came back from the dead... just so that they could commit suicide out of shame , because of this blatant disrespect to profit.

+1 Ryan Reign, agree with you. No profit, no credits, no enter.

temp kos for transporting xith into uit space, or past the drop off points.
FULL kos for transporting xith in dua, itan, or sol2.

Ok, i actually read this (well some of it) and I have to agree with temp KOS in UIT space.
Why not allow xith carriers to sell the xith on a UIT black market and make a ton of money? 10,000c/cu?
Have them deliver it to Dau L-10, give them Xcredits/cu, decrease Serco AND Itani standings by 3/cu.

because the idea is to keep xith out of uit space, not give a reason to take it to uit space. uit is too close to the action and would not give the other side ample opportunity to intercept it. the fun in ctc is combat. and combat is better in grey.
why do i get the feeling that some people keep trying to leave a loop hole to sneak ctc past dau? ctc in dau should equal complete and full kos.

Tarenty's idea would work very fine, but if Odia Stronghold, Corvus Capital, starts buying purified Xith. Since this is black market operation, no standing loss since no nation finds about.
But only if the purified Xith remains totally in gray space! Captures inside nation space does apply faction loss.
