I get that they aren't binding Doc, my point is if they are inaccurate... (eg, letting one person vote mutiple times)... the Devs and to a less important degree, the players can't get an honest idea of how well received, hated or irrelevant an idea is.

Please don't tell me you're so fucking stupid as to think it should say "if it were." Seriously, that would be bad even for Alloh. Does the concept of number agreement mean nothing to you? Better to be silent and thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt -- something an apparently half-baked autodidact (or a public school product, which is at least as bad and often worse) should definitely bear firmly in mind.

did someone forget to teach you the subjunctive? the case of "it" being an election was contrary to fact, a fantasy if you will... and as such falls into said category.
