Make behemoth craftable, not for sale
Make Behemoth and Behemoth XC craftable (like SL for example).
Everyone who runs it will think twice before loosing it.

because there currently is too much incentive to trade?

Too big cargo, in comparison to other ships and too easy to get
The Behemoth is good for both traders and pirates. Its cargo capacity is about the only thing that makes trading marginally worthwhile. Being slow and in the case of the XC, lightly-armored and unarmed makes it an easy target for pirates. Making it harder to get doesn't improve the game for anyone.

Yeah, if anything the Centaur and Atlas should go this route while the Behemoth remains purchasable in bulk. But I'm not advocating that either.
I might agree to the XC being craftable, but only if the requirements were sensible. The regular moth should remain as-is.
Good lord, NOONE crafts things allready. Why the hell do we want to make more things craftable when NOONE does it allready?
I have five SLs, Willis. I also have a biocom mine. People craft.
I have no objection to this. I'd love to see REALISTIC crafting. It would give me something to do when I log on besides log back off.
This would make sense, if there was a well developed crafting utility within the game and a well developed player-to-player trade system (ex. trading ships).
/me checks the game, "Nope, not yet."
Besides making another craft item via the 'cumbersome' crafting mission interface, what benefit does it provide?
I mean, yes, it can give the illusion of immersion for the briefest of moments within the game. Yes, it can make obtaining large capacity ships harder. Yes, it can make something in this game harder without player-to-player interaction. What else can it do?
Besides what I stated above, what do you think or planned on this suggestion doing exactly?

I actually agree with atice here, since they massively upped the diminishing returns effect to trading it's basically stopped. This hasen't been good for the traders or the pirates.
