Nav Map
When shrinking the system on the Nav map, cause adjacent systems to appear and make them plottable. Ie. when I shrink Ukari, I should be see Helios and Initros on the left and Latos on the right and be able to plot those systems as well.
seems reasonable/useful enough. +1

Aye +1
And what if it does like http://ratelis.com/map/uni.html and make WH clickable to proceed to neighbouring system, so you can continue plotting?
Same results, smaller change on visuals...
+1 anyway

Alloh's idea is a good one as well (though it doesn't address the map zoom feature being somewhat useless as-is, which the OP is addressing). You'd need a click-and-hold kinda deal for it though, otherwise people would end up looking at the next system when they don't want to be.
In other news, I demand a touch-screen map interface! /me has been reading too many Apple stories...

single-click or shift-click selects WH sector.
Double-click or hold 2secs to traverse WH into next system.

You do know you can simply jump to the wh sector, then jump through the wh without plotting a jump?
lol, yes Nahin. but plotting beyond that WH shouldn't necessarily require a 'z'-click-'z' as it currently does.
You could wait until you were in that system, type /+turbo in the direction of empty space, set your course, go back to HUD, jump, etc, etc...
that's what I do tarenty. just saying there's a better UE to be had.
