Single exit point for storms

The Rear Admiral brought this up in another thread in typical Rear Admiral fashion. Here it is to be considered on it's own merits (I know it's not a new idea):

Make the exit point for storms consistent, regardless of the entry vector of a ship. This would make storms infinitely more interesting and useful. Combined with this they would be downright fun, for pirates and evil-types anyway :)

well, yes. I was under the impression that a single exit point was the general intention, it just never worked right. In either case, +1.

Actually, this idea would work just as well with a consistent entry point, which might make more sense anyway.

While consistent entry points would be useful for evil-types... I don't see how it makes sense. Storm extender mines (not to mention basic storm extenders) might solve the problem of "oh look, I found someone! but now they jumped away :(" (I mean, you could always chase them... but then what was the point of the storm anyways?).

Well, if you imagine that the ion storm has a centre, where the ions are condensed enough to disrupt a warp drive, then that centre is where ships would be pulled out of warp.

bah! fine. I don't like it, but I wouldn't mind it :p.

I posted a BUG Request with exact date/time as requested. Hope this time gets really fixed.

There must be only one option, or everybody including bots/NPCs have only one exit, or all have two/many. But ion storms rules must be universal!

And I agree with OP, single EXIT point. Or else only routes that directly crosses center of sector should be affected.

also this might fix convoys having different exit points than the player guarding them.

Or those of us hunting them.
