Capships in group and mission should let you dock
No matter what your standing, I think that you should be able to dock with nation capships if you are in their group. This is essential for HS especially and BS.

If you are in same group as the capship, you should be able to dock with it.
If you can't, you should be refused to take that mission.

I end up only taking BS and HS in itani space. Is this an issue for UIT in Red or Blue space or something like that?
Also, it should not matter if you have bumped on it.
A cappie only should turn hostile if hit by shots, and completely ignore hull--hull collisions. Even more considering they have shields, and should be planned to receive Combat Landings

-1. If you want to dock, go get better standing. Maybe the better solution is to make the mission viewable only to those with standing to dock?
Atice, see above. If you can take mission, you can dock. If you can't dock, shouldn't be able to take mission...

Ah, had missed your comment. However, your comment is not what the OP is suggesting, hence I stand by my -1.
Honestly, if you can't dock due to standing, then as long as the message is decipherable enough that you know you need better standing, who cares?

If a pilot is not trusted enough to be granted docking priviliges on the capship he is escorting, why would he be hired as escort??
Remember that logical rule that says that only ships in escort convoy can dock to escorting tridents? That should be granted, and same applies to Levi, HS, BS, whatever.
Don't offer a (esc,hs,bs) mission to who you don't trust.
If you hired a pilot to work with a cappie, it is better for the mission that he can RR in-flight!

I agree, but that's not the OP! :p

I agree. If you are helping the capship, I doubt they'll turn you away on basis of standing. +1.

Aye, I will change my suggestion to being his. Which is:
If you are in same group as the capship, you should be able to dock with it.
If you can't, you should be refused to take that mission.

Alloh that is one of the many things I agree with you on.
