Group members should be visible no matter how far out you are, no matter where they are. It' should remain as it has been. The only thing I see viable to abolish is the group limit.

Erm, then EVERYONE should be visible on radar even in the fog.

We all already understand that the "radar" has it's limits in this game, but in reality we can bounce radar off the moon and get accurate measurements. In the VO universe if radar can see pas 5k, it doesn't matter if you're in a group or not.

I vote to limit group radar viewing to 5k regardless of the sector, it's consistent. Further, ALL chat (group, guild etc.) should also be limited to 5k.

At some point VO has to establish suspension of disbelief rules to govern it's galaxy. To date it's done fairly well, this suggestion would bork it.

Impavid... wtf are you going on about? only 5k of communication? I'm assuming you were drunk when you wrote that.

This suggestion was true until the latest update. One of the reasons people group is to find one another.

Group members being displayed is not exactly dependant on radar. It is a simple matter to transmit your location to other group members so they know where you are even if they are out of radar range.
