prices
i think that u guys should also lower the prices of some of your weapons.the avalon torpedo launcher is way too much and it 32000c this weapon takes a lot of money to get and the mine launcher that is 12000c and u get 4 mines with it that cost 1000c each, i think that should be at least 8000c. the last item i think that should have a lower price is the Adv.Gatlling Cannon it is 26000c when the regular Gattling Cannon is just 2200 i would say that the "AGC" (Adv.Gatlling Cannon)should be at least 10000c so can u tell me if these prices would be good or they are the right price because the reason u give me so if anyone else thinks this is good also tell me or if u think what i said now is dumb and the prices were better before tell me too also tell me what u think.
Johnsm721: I tried reading your post but my eyes nearly melted out of my head, so I had to put it through a word processor before I could figure out what you wanted to say.
This is what I came up with:
"I think that you should lower the prices of some of your weapons. The Avalon torpedo launcher costs way too much. At 32000cr this weapon takes a lot of money to get. The lightning mine launcher costs 12000cr and you only get 4 mines, and it costs 1000cr to replace each of them. I think that should be at most 8000cr. The last item I think should have a lower price is the advanced Gatling cannon (AGC). It costs 26000cr when the regular Gatling cannon is just 2200cr. I would say that the AGC should be at most 10000cr. Can you tell me if these price changes would be a good idea, or can you explain the reason the existing prices are better. I want to know what you think.”
There is quite a bit to be said in responce to that.
First, it is clear that you are very new to the game if you think 32000 cr is alot of money. Most players have millions of credits, so whether something costs 32000cr or 12000cr is irrelevant to them.
Secondly, all the current prices are just place holders and there is very little focus on 'balancing' the prices because it is known that the current economy is going to eventually be completely overhualed. For example, the final economy will be to a certain extent dynamic based on supply and demand. There isn't much point in changing the base prices yet.
Thirdly, even once we get into a final economy it is to be expected that as a weapons utility increases linearly, that its price will increase exponentially (or faster). This is the standard way that items have been priced for balance ever since RPG's where introduced. If one weapon is ten times better than another, expect to pay 100 times or more for it. I don't think its unreasonable that the AGC is 26000. As I've said before, its worth every penny.
At the heart of your complaint is I think frustration with your lack of access to the 'good stuff'. As I said before, I think this is just a side effect of you being relatively new here. You are in a situation similar to a player that's just started playing Diabo and know wants to get 'Celestial Full Plate of the Whale' in his first few days playing, and is complaining about how it should be cheaper so that everyone can have it. Your real complaint should be that people shouldn't be using 'trainers' to cheat. If you have all the good stuff in an RPG immediately, you are really missing out.

sector0: I'm not going through and locking every thread that nobody has posted to in awhile. There are literally hundreds of such posts. It was just laying there, minding its own business until you bumped it. Please let sleeping threads lie.
