It's a little weird to have the disembodied ring, there. It seems unpolished.

I'd really like to see turrets more like a DOME, or hemispheric format... Makes more sense. But I disagree and consider that turrets should be rendered, as a cockpit or image below, as a frame, instead of that senseless ring.

The ring isn't disembodied, it's fixed to the hull of the ship. I actually like the effect.

Maybe have it as an option.
