I was remembering the early days of the Latos I-8 station, one day in paticular. I was defending the station with the usual band of heroic pilots from some cut throat villainous dogs when an ion storm hit... what followed was the greatest furball I'd ever been in. As I recall we all enjoyed it.

Anyways, station sectors have roid feilds... give them ion storms too. It wouldn't be much different than the fogged sectors. I suppose leaving the capitol systems alone would be needed, so the newbies don't go crashing into stations and such.

Yeah, I don't think capitol systems have ion storms anyways. I'm all for this.

Yes, please. I think this, along with restricted exit vectors from stations would make for great fun viz: pirates and traders.

Epic furball: Latos I8 with Ion Storm, HIVE invasion, defense force and enemies trying to conquer it. I lived it, and really wanna do again!

Plz, remove ion storm/hive restriction on I8 sector, at least. Possibly on selected others also.
