How about making this Behemoth Heavy Miner Mk II, requirement something/something and Basic Miner III

Otherwise, huzzah

Because Miner III is truly insane?

... Alright, alright. You're probably right.

Devs, get'erdone.

I'm for this. I still think there's a place for the mining rag as well (as it doesn't require BMIII and encourages teamwork), but this works for me as well.

Well if BM3 is going to be needed, we should buff up the cargo space to maybe 160cu.

I'd rather that we didn't start rewarding grinding too much.
Feb 22, 2010 Dr. Lecter link
But we're rewarding grinding with the ability to ... grind more. There should be a mining enhancing reward for investing that sort of time towards one's mining interest.

If the reward was combat ability for grinding, you'd have an excellent point. It isn't, and you don't. If anything, we should be excited that there are bigger, more expensive trader toys for us to break, Maalik.

Resistance37, I've incorporated your suggestion, as I don't think an extra 20cu of ore per run would unbalance anything, and added a new ship price.

I've also talked to a number of people, over the years, who really love mining, and find it "relaxing". Even people who try out all the different mining simulators in different games. Some people really enjoy that sort of grind, I guess. I just try to offer options.

I'll look at doing this for BMIII.

*sigh*

Because I'm crazy and don't like seeing red in my merchandise tabs I guess I'll be starting on BMIII soon. >.<

Excellent Inc.

Er, anything for folk with BM 4 ? Apart from a straitjacket ? I would like to see some odd ships which give no in game advantage, but are just fun. How about a mining moth IV , same as the III but with built in headlamps so you could mine at night ?

How about a moth IV that's the same as mkIII, but has that aniversary vulture texture.

As I'm getting near to BMIII...

Want!

Unsurprising. It gives them the illusion of success and progress, of making substantive gains, something they generally lack IRL.

Maal, normally I'd be right there with you - which is why I got BM II - but 15,000 and 100,000 are two very different numbers. Not sure I can sacrifice that much time to the obsessive-compulsiveness Gods. On the other hand, mining and doc review go together pretty well. Guess it depends on whether I get staffed on another big investigation soon.

Are you a Government lawyer?

No, they're the ones making life difficult for my upstanding corporate citizens of clients.

mining is one of the few incidences where it is possible to participate with a ping above 350. If you choose not to make complete crap out of PvP, that is.

Besides, it relaxes after an honest day's work.

/me finds the lobby stick for mining Lvl V badges..

I'd like to see two large ports and two small ports rather than three large ports.

That's nice, now fuck off.
