Request for a reworking of Deneb (next)
I believe the following changes to Deneb should be considered next....
1. removal of all current stations in Deneb
2. addition of a conquerable station where the central station currently is.
2a. setup the conquerable station with a fighter based defense.
2b. stock station with guass3 and/or neut 3?
2c. stock station with the top equipment of the controlling faction.
2d. station conquerable thru mission for serco/itani factions only.
2e. only allow docking for members of the military in good standing.
3. number of controlled sectors should determine station defense strength.(x fighters per sector controlled?)
I personally feel these changes will help balance out the BS and add a lot of interest as well. The station itself will also be a good test in conquerable devolpment as well.
There will probably be an increase of complaints concerning BS but its not a perfect world eh?

+1... also shade asteroid sectors (red/blue like empty sectors) and, if possible, change the color of the system on the intra-system nav map based on who controls the station.
I would also suggest, while we're on the topic of Deneb, to change Border Skirmish AI to make it so each non-nation specific fighter (vultures and such) have 10 second respawns and give valks and proms 30 second respawns. Also make it so any idle ships will join in on a gank. The combination of those two features would allow for more strategy and scenarios where the tide can turn.

Agreed, but I'd like to see the research and mining stations brought back as additional conquerable stations once the bugs are worked out for having a single conquerable station in Deneb.
*Having control of the research station could allow turrets at the main station at O-3 to respawn. (Note that destroying turrets at O-3 wouldn't affect ownership of the station)
*Having control of the mining station could increase the variety of ships/weapons available at O-3 and perhaps increase the quantities available too (assuming quantities are limited).
Also, ~64 sectors surrounding both the mining/research stations could affect conquerability of those stations, leaving ~128 squares affecting O-3. The mining/research stations would probably need to be moved closer to the corners to help make it obvious which sectors affect which station.
The implication here is that the attacking force trying to take control of the system would want to take over the mining base first to cut the supply line, then the research station to prevent turrets from respawning, ending with a final showdown at O-3.

I think the point is to not use a turret system with the Deneb station. Just have a shitload of gank bots with relatively short respawn times... numbers depending on all the sectors under control by the owning nation.
