i did a quick search to see if this topic has already been discussed. Since the search came up empty, here goes:

Station bars would be awesomer if you could trade with other station residents, buy drinks, get info from the bartender (bribe him by getting him stuff? think of him as the station's keeper), etc. etc. etc.

It'd be AWESOME! :D

I think a lot more bar content is planned, already.

Yeah, that was why the station bar was put there in the first place, but the fully realized implementation has been significantly delayed (a recurring theme with us). We are working on that content.

Ideas already proposed for bar:

-More interactive BOT, text or menu-driven
-BarBot sells tips of todays best trade routes and convoys

-BBS-like for online players small ads

Could this also be a way of implementing illegal goods trading.. possibly linked with conquered stations? ie you will need a key to the station to get/sell the good stuff? just a thought for now.
