conquerable station turrets should cost money
title says it all. its your station you gotta pay to defend it, maybe later once crafting comes in they can be built but until then.
This sounds like a decent plan. Might actually encourage mining and gathering for crafting them once that gets implemented.

I agree but I want to see all the conquering balance issues worked out first.

BUT how much and how many? Should there be an upper limit to how many turrets a player can buy? Should players pre- buy replacements and only have 8 deployed at a time with automatic replacement?
Its going to be a while before all the balance issues get worked out and if a player does have to purchase or build the turrets then the balamce will change anyway. Id rather get the feature in-play and balance things with most of the features in place.

No. They are plenty powerful so it cant be solo'd, but a well trained team of two can easily overcome it without much trouble.

The problem with that is, it isnt. You have to dock with the station once the turrets are dead. Which is a very simple task if the station is undefended, or you can clear out all the defenders. And you know how to kill Lmines.

I do like the idea of having different turrets at different prices availible....
